@kenok: best place to answer your questions is at http://internettablettalk.com/forums/
But yes, the N810 is very open for its device class

What @cybette said. Is "pocketable" important? If so, go tablet. If not, go netbook. It's almost that simple.

Thanks Bish.
I have been trying to find something short-term but keep getting rejected for being overqualified. So far appeals fall on deaf ears.
Unemployment pays $10 per hour so I have to beat that by at least a little for it to be worth it. So I have been looking at ~$15 per hour jobs (sigh). I also hope to find some freelancing and am preparing to put bids in on some graphics work.

Thanks, Bish, but easy to say...
Not that I'm ungrateful, mind you.
And @ymb: I'm well aware of all of that, thanks. This is not my first experience with job loss. As an engineering type I've dealt with it numerous times. But the last time was NINE MONTHS out of work and no amount of well-wishing or sage advice puts food on the table or keeps a house out of foreclosure. Last time we lost over $50,000 due to my job loss and this time may top that. Still dealing with the credit repercussions several years later. I canNOT afford to go 9 months jobless again.
I'm not usually negative when it comes to challenges but after beating my head against virtual walls often and hard enough once in a while it gets to be too much. I appreciate advice but right now I'm venting my frustration. I don't want to look for work-- I want to work!!!
